Jesse is a Professional Chemical & Environmental Engineer with 14 years experience. Holding an M.A.Sc. from UBC and a B.S. from Yale, this serial inventor has a proven track record in cleantech R&D, product engineering leadership, and industrial wastewater treatment. His diverse expertise includes heat rejection studies for constructed wetlands, lower-cost manufacturing of electrochromic thin films, human survival systems for Mustang Survival, and critical wastewater solutions for industrial clients for Saltworks Technologies.

CO-FOUNDER & CCO

Cheryl is a Professional Engineer with 14 years of water and wastewater infrastructure experience across R&D, pilot testing, consulting, construction, manufacturing, and multibillion-dollar megaprojects, including delivery on the $10B Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Program. She pairs that technical grounding with hands-on commercial experience, having led full sales-cycle business development and client acquisition for wastewater infrastructure providers, securing large-scale design-build contracts, alongside procurement and construction contract administration across major capital programs. She also serves as a Director on the BC Water & Waste Association board.

FOUNDING ENGINEER

Zach is a Professional Engineer with 7 years of experience spanning cleantech R&D, pilot-scale engineering and manufacturing. He brings a diverse background in scaling emerging technologies from concept through commercialization and building operational systems for growing companies. Prior to joining Thermaspire, Zach led a pilot team focused on advanced water treatment and resource recovery and worked in manufacturing engineering for wearable technology companies in Switzerland and Canada.

FOUNDING ENGINEER

Brian brings experience in building thermal measurement instrumentation and developing proof of concept devices. With over 15 years of research experience, he has a diverse background spanning biomedical to clean energy related technologies. He has collaborated with Google to build state of the art calorimeters to measure heat. He has made foundational contributions to academic startups, Xagenic Inc and Miru Smart Technologies.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Yvon is a seasoned engineering technician with 40 years of profound experience, encompassing roles in plant management, R&D, process development, and Machine Design. His extensive background at industry leaders like Fibreglass Canada/Owens Corning, Clark Robotics, Wolverine Tube, and RR Donnelley reflects a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a relentless pursuit of engineering excellence, showcasing unparalleled practical expertise.

CONTROLS & AUTOMATION ADVISOR

Alex is a UBC-educated controls and AI engineer with 6 years experience. He gained invaluable skills in control engineering of thermal-regulation technologies for buildings at Miru Smart Technologies. He has expertise in modelling physical systems and optimizing control systems for precise temperature management in devices and in advanced manufacturing processes.
